Meet the Davico Team:
Ray Surprenant

Ray Surprenant

President / CEO

Ray has been President of Davico Mfg. since 1998.   Ray first came to Davico for an after-school job in 1988-89.  Ray worked in many departments over the years including production, shipping, and office work before moving into catalytic converter sales. Ray worked as General Manager for a time before eventually buying out his cousin David.  Ray still enjoys being involved in process improvements whether it involves improving the customer experience to methods on production floor. Ray grew up in East Freetown Massachusetts and attended Bishop Stang High School, Louisiana State University, and University of Massachusetts in Amherst.  Ray has 4 children with his wife Rebecca.  He enjoys boating with the family on Buzzards Bay and coaching various sports with his kids.

Don Davis

Don Davis

National Sales & Marketing Manager

Don joins the Davico team bringing over 35 years of experience working for large Automotive OEM’s as well as leading Automotive Aftermarket manufacturers. His education includes a degree in Automotive Technology, in addition he also has an extensive technical background, which includes creating Technical Service Bulletins, developing in-depth technical training programs and working with R&D for new product offerings. Don grew up in Chicago and currently resides in St. Charles Illinois, with his wife Claudia and their three children. He enjoys traveling, being active, coaching sports and spending time with his family and friends.

Liz DeMedeiros

Liz DeMedeiros

Manager of Finance & Administration

Liz has been with Davico for over 22 years.  Liz’s official title is Manager of Finance & Administration and she is a key member of the Leadership team.  Liz oversees the Accounting, HR and Data departments but has a contribution into most processes that flow through Davico. Liz is usually in charge of spearheading progress in whatever is next.  Liz has a son and a daughter and enjoys traveling to warm weather destinations.

Jake Bateman

Production Manager

Jake comes to us from Callaway Golf where he was a Continuous Improvement Manager. His background helps him in his role here at Davico as a Lean Processes Engineer where he is responsible for leading lean initiatives, improving efficiencies, capacity expansion, and driving sustained change. Jake also has his Six Sigma Black Belt. He enjoys outdoor activities and sports, reading, music, travel, and being a dad.

Rob Wigglesworth

Warehouse Operations Manager

With 25 years of experience in logistics and inventory control, Rob Wigglesworth is our Warehouse Operations Manager. Managing all aspects of shipping and receiving as well as executing cycle count programs, and coordinating our kitting process. Rob is APICS certified in planning and inventory management. When Rob isn’t at Davico he loves spending time with his 5 grand children as well as sports and traveling.

Moussa Traore

Director of Operations

As a visionary Leader with a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Moussa Traore has 20 years of Operations experience which includes 18 years of leadership. Moussa has Bachelor degree in Business & Operation Management and a Master in Finance Management. Prior to joining Davico Manufacturing, Moussa was an Operation Manager at Amazon covering 7 Non-sort sites in the North East, which he launched 3 out of the 7 sites. He also spent 4 Years with Tiffany & Co as a Production Manager and lean Six Sigma Black Belt Lead launching the first two International manufacturing sites of the company. Moussa spent a total of 13 Years in the hydronic Industry between Amtrol Inc and Taco Comfort Solutions.

Build Supervisor

Overseeing our production team is Joey! Joey has been with us for 19 years and is an integral part of the team. He has also helped as the Production Manger at the Mexico plant while it was under going training. He enjoys local team sports such as the Red Sox and Patriots. He also enjoys Camping, traveling and spending time with his family, nieces, and nephews.

Prototype Lead

We are please to introduce you to Rob! He has been with us a whopping 32 years! He was here when it all began and is a key employee when it comes to introducing new models to our catalogs. He is responsible for drawing up how new parts are made and writing out the building process for each one. Without his expertise Davico may not exist! When not at Davico Rob enjoys local sports such as the Red sox, Patriots, and Celtics. He also enjoys movies and is a Marvel fan.

Maintenance Supervisor

A versatile Employee, Ryan has been with us for 6 years and has many duties beyond his title. Dependable, he always there when help is needed. Ryan keeps our machines running and keeps Davico moving. Outside of work Ryan enjoys riding his motorcycle, flying drones, and loves rock music.

Shipping Supervisor

John is at the heart of our shipping department and has been with us for over 6 years. He makes sure all parts go out correctly and on time. Needless to say he is always quick to help when there is an issue. John is a talented artist and always has many projects going outside of Davico.

Purchasing & Data Specialist

Dave is responsisble for locating and purchasing the materials we use daily as well as indepth data analytics of usage and our products. He also helps with the cataloging of our products. He is behind the scenes making sure everything continues to flow smoothly. He has been with us for 11 years and is a key part of the team. Dave enjoys watching sports, as well as playing golf and boating.

Part of our trio in accounting is Laura. She has been with us for 3 years and has been a great addition! Laura has a dregree in accounting and works in tandem with Liz and Ana to keep Davico running. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her pets and gardening.

Customer Service

Tara has been with Davico for over 7 years. Her 20 years of experience in customer service makes her a great asset to our sales team. She is a mother of two who enjoys spending time with her family and pets as well as traveling.

Shawn’s 6 years with the Davico team has been a valuable addition. Shawn not only supports the customer service team by handling tech calls but he also helps with any IT work needed through out the building. Shawn has extensive automotive knowledge coming from previous employment at Advance Auto Parts. As team leader he over sees all sales, accounts, and customer service inquiries. On any given day he has his hands in any and all departments helping out. Shawn is a foodie who enjoys PC gaming, comic conventions, and spending time with his daughters.

Andrew joined us a few years ago and has made great strides in the company. He has helped organize many new proceedures and implemented features of our systems to stream line our everyday work flow. We are excited to see what else he has in store for us!

Plant Manager / Materials & Purchasing Manager

Elizabeth has collaborated in the development of the start-up of the Davico Mexico plant as Materials and Purchasing Manager. Elizabeth contributed her knowledge to achieve the correct flow of logistics, import and export of materials, as well as machinery and base equipment for the production of catalytic converters. Similarly managing and controlling the flow of raw materials and finished products to ensure having the least number of inventory descrepancies. Currently Elizabeth continues to grow and is now the Plant Manager. She is in charge of coordinating and developing strategies hand in hand with her team to achieve company goals. Elizabeth loves animals but especially dogs and dreams of opening her own dog shelter in the near future. She likes to play volley ball and soccer in her spare time, as well as spending time with her family and friends.

Jesús is currently a Production Supervisor, in charge of ensuring that roles and activities are adequately monitored. He is also in charge of the maintenance area; his responsibility include ensuring machines are in optimal operation. Jesús also carries out improving LEAN projects for processes within the plant. Jesús enjoys a long trip at night and talks with family and friends. He is passionate about cars and everything related to engineering because of his interest in knowing how things work.

Naara Lopez

Naara Lopez

Purchasing and Finance Coordinator

Naara is an original employee from the start-up of Davico Mexico. From the beginning she has been in the MRO Purchasing and Finance area, which was in charge of programming and providing all the products and services necessary for the Mexico plant. She is currently Purchasing and Finance Coordinator in charge of requesting products, services and consumables for all the processes of the plant, and keeping control of expenses. She’s taking advantage of the Global System to develop the most efficient financial activities for the company. Naara likes to spend time reading, learning new things about different subjects and watching Korean soap operas.

Quality Supervisor

Raul started working at Davico on January 13, 2023. He is currently a supervisor in the quality department, in charge of ensuring that Davico Mexico parts have the correct specifications to make sure to meet customer requirements. He oversees the CNC area where we carry out our flanges and machining. For Raul it is very important to be part of this family since we trusted him to start working professionally, he love challenges and learning new things, if he sets his mind to something he always makes the maximum effort to achieve it!
In his free time he really likes to spend time with his wife since it was a dream to marry her since they started their relationship. He love adventure video games, especially The Legend of Zelda games. He is very passionate about singing and learning all kinds of new things.

Materials and Production Control Coordinator

On August 15 2023, Yessica started working at Davico México, her main activities were to provide support in the materials department, she began to control production work orders, the process for importing materials, as well as receipt and supply. She is currently responsible for the materials department, maintaining a good flow and control of raw materials and inventory to ensure the company’s production. She really likes spending time with her coworkers, they are very fun, but she also loves being with her children, going to the movies and walking in the park. It is very nice to come to work every day, because she has very kind coworkers who make her day lighter.

EHS & Support

César became part of the Davico family in February 2023, performing the area of Environmental, Health & Safety. His goal with industrial safety is to seek mandatory discipline in the company that systematically deals with the prevention of injuries or accidents in the work environment. Applied in the uses of machinery or tools that fulfill the dual function of facilitating work performance and maintaining confidence in the work being performed. He loves to travel a lot, enjoys a good landscape, and knows the gastronomy of each place. Another of his favorite pastimes is watching science fiction movies and he also likes to cook a lot.

Manufacturing and Support

Francisco started activities in Davico in January 2023 as an intern, he carried out various activities to help the Quality, Production and Materials areas. Later he was hired as an Engineer in “Manufacturing and support”. Currently he is dedicated to making the changes that are necessary to improve and facilitate the manufacturing of catalysts and exhaust and at the same time reduce material waste. He also performs other activities such as creating diagrams and making 2D drawings or 3D and programs in different software. What he likes to do most in his free time is listen to music, play video games, and watch Club América soccer games, the biggest team in Mexico.
